BERMONDSEY

Why we love Bermondsey

Bermondsey, located in South London, has a rich history dating back to the Victorian era. From being a rural village, it transformed into an industrial hub due to its strategic location along the River Thames. Interestingly, the name Bermondsey is derived from the Old English “Beommund’s island,” which hints at its origins among the marshes.

Bermondsey Street is a destination with plenty of attractions to offer. The charming cobbled road is lined with a mix of boutiques, art galleries, and eateries, making it the heart of the community. You’ll find locals and visitors alike strolling along the street, sipping coffee at outdoor cafes, and exploring the artisanal shops. It’s a perfect place to spend a leisurely afternoon in London.
